Gary Wilson, Ph.D. has a diverse range of work experiences in various scientific roles. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Scientific Associate II at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where they performed separations of process samples using supercritical fluid chromatography. In 2012, they worked as an Organic Chemist at Johnson Matthey Pharma Services, where they developed and scaled up early-stage API candidates. Also in 2012, they held the position of Chemist I at Warp Drive Bio, where they isolated and characterized novel natural products. From 2015 to 2020, they were a Doctoral Student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During the summer of 2018, they participated in an industrial internship at Genentech's Biochemical and Cellular Pharmacology – Large Molecule department. Most recently, since 2020, they have worked at Protein Metrics Inc, initially as a Postdoctoral Researcher and then as a Research Scientist, specializing in computational proteomics. Currently, they hold the role of Senior Research Scientist at Protein Metrics Inc.
Gary Wilson, Ph.D. completed their education with a focus on Chemical Biology. From 2015 to 2020, they attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Chemical Biology. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2010, they pursued their undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University. There, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in (Bio)Chemistry.
