Andrew Zhai, PhD, is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in biochemistry and cell biology. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at ProteinQure since August 2022, Andrew previously held the position of Scientist II - Cell Biology Team Lead at Dalriada Drug Discovery, leading a team in the design and execution of cell-based assays. Andrew has a diverse background that includes founding and editing Transcripts, a scientific blog aimed at communicating research experiences, and working as a freelance specialist editor for Cactus Communications. Additionally, Andrew completed postdoctoral research at the University Health Network and earned a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto, where research focused on protein interactions relevant to leukemia. Andrew's commitment to education is reflected in the role as a teaching assistant and contributions to various academic organizations.
