Joanna Kazimierczak

Joanna Kazimierczak has a diverse work experience in the field of bioinformatics and genetics. Joanna started their career at the Centre de ressources regionales en biologie moleculaire (CRRBM) in 2011 as a Stażyśta. In 2012, they worked as a Stażyśta at the University of Twente.

From 2013 onwards, Joanna joined Proteon Pharmaceuticals, where they held various roles. Joanna started as a Researcher and later transitioned into the position of Bioinformatics and Molecular Biology Specialist from September 2016 to December 2018. Joanna then advanced to the role of Bioinformatics and Genetics Manager from January 2019. Currently, Joanna serves as the Head of the Bioinformatics and Genetics Department at Proteon Pharmaceuticals since November 2022.

Joanna Kazimierczak is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree at the Institute of Medical Biology of Polish Academy of Sciences, specializing in medical science. Prior to this, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from Lodz University of Technology, where they studied from 2008 to 2013.
