Philip Reale

Philip Reale is a Sr. Staff Engineer at Proterra Inc. since July 2018, specializing in the validation and testing of battery electric buses. Prior to this role, Philip served as a Sr. Validation & Testing Engineer at American BOA Inc. from February 2007 to July 2018, where responsibilities included testing, validation, analysis, and customer training. In various leadership roles within American BOA, Philip led engineering teams in democratic self-management experiments and organized testing and validation activities for both light and heavy vehicles. Previous experience includes positions as a Development Engineer at APR, focusing on performance optimization for VW and Audi products, and a Development Engineer at Honda R&D Americas, where durability testing for Honda and Acura engines was conducted. Philip holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, earned between 1995 and 2000.
