Nicola Greco is a seasoned research lead at Protocol Labs since 2017, spearheading the CryptoNet team focused on applied cryptography, resulting in the design and implementation of core protocols essential for web3 infrastructure. Under Nicola's leadership, the team has developed protocols utilized by thousands and has significantly reduced costs for the Filecoin network. Prior experience includes serving as a research assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and as a fellow at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University, contributing to early iterations of Solid with Sir Tim Berners-Lee. Early career roles include a Mozilla internships where Nicola developed tools for FirefoxOS, and a data science internship with Seedcamp. Nicola holds an MS/PhD in Computer Science from MIT and a BSc in Computer Science from University College London, alongside an International Baccalaureate from St. Clares, Oxford.
