Robin Y.

Robin Y. has worked in the field of robotic systems engineering since 2021, when they began working as a Robotic Systems Engineer at PROTOINNOVATIONS, LLC. Prior to this, Robin had two software engineering co-op positions, first at iRobot in 2012 and then at Embue in 2013. At Embue, Robin was promoted to Firmware Engineer in 2014, where they designed the software architecture and prototyped a thermostat interface based on the Embue sensor with an OLED display and multiple buttons. They also implemented a failsafe algorithm for a relay module for controlling AC and furnace equipment, and fixed build tools for creating RPMs of custom software for the Embue Core base station running CentOS.

Robin Y. has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University, which was earned between 2010 and 2014. Following that, Robin earned a Graduate Certificate in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Johns Hopkins Engineering for Professionals between 2016 and 2019. Lastly, Robin is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Robotics from Northeastern University, which is expected to be completed in 2021.
