Jian Mo

Jian Mo has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. They started their career as a Game Developer at Keyrun Technologies Inc in 2012 and then moved on to work as a Game Developer at HugenStar in 2013. In 2014, Jian joined HSBC as a Software Developer, where they developed in-house tools for traders and provided support for legacy tools.

In 2017, Jian transitioned to the role of a Machine Learning Engineer at Thales, where they built a semantic search engine using graph database and machine learning techniques to assist the HR department in finding specific experts.

In 2018, Jian joined XNDM as a Machine Learning Engineer and contributed to the development of a recommender system with a pioneering use of deepwalk in RecSys. They also invented a new graph search algorithm and played a key role in building and maintaining the ETL and CI/CD pipeline of the company.

In 2020, Jian joined ehsAI as a Machine Learning Engineer and focused on building NLP models to parse tables in PDF documents and conduct QA within these documents. They successfully trained large language models during their time at ehsAI.

Currently, Jian is working at Proton.ai as a Machine Learning Engineer, starting from May 2022.

Jian Mo earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Shanxi University. Later, Jian Mo pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Université Laval.
