Ong Chee Wooi

Ong Chee Wooi serves as the General Manager at Proton since January 2020, overseeing sales planning, demand and supply planning, sales and marketing events, and dealer management systems. Prior to this role, Ong held the position of Head of Operation at S&D Tama Malaysia Sdn Bhd from October 2018 to January 2020. Ong’s extensive experience at UMW Toyota Motor Sdn. Bhd. spanned nearly 16 years, during which roles included Acting General Manager for Sales Reborn and Sales Planning & Outlet Support, as well as Head of Division for Used Car Operation, and various managerial positions. Earlier career experience includes serving as Managing Consultant for Quality Management at SQC Management Sdn Bhd. Ong holds both a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's degree in Quality & Productivity from the National University of Malaysia (UKM).
