Déborah Camañes has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2011, they worked as an Assistant for Programs and Marketing at Pragda, where they promoted and distributed Spanish cinema in North America. In 2012, they worked as an Event Manager at MdV, handling event organization and management. Déborah also worked as a Production Executive for the OFFF Punto de Vista Festival and as a Communication Manager for the REC International Festival in Tarragona.
From 2013 onwards, Déborah took on freelance roles as a Writer and Collaboration for Le Cool Network and as a Freelance Journalist for Diari de Tarragona, where they wrote articles and reviews on culture, art, and current affairs. Déborah also worked as a Booking Assistant Manager and later as an Office Manager and Executive Assistant at Advanced Music, S.L., where they assisted in artist booking and coordination, managed budgets and expenses, and provided administrative support. During their time at Advanced Music, they also worked as a Hospitality Coordinator and handled logistics for festivals and guest management.
In 2020, Déborah collaborated as a CCCBLab Blog Contributor at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB). Déborah joined Zumzeig Cinecooperativa in 2021 as a Communication Coordinator, responsible for implementing communication plans, curating and creating online content, managing social media accounts, updating the website, and coordinating with designers and suppliers.
Currently, Déborah works at ProtoPixel as an Operations Specialist, where they maintain and improves supply chain procedures, optimizes purchasing processes, and develops relationships with existing suppliers.
Déborah Camañes began their education in 1999 at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), where they completed their first cycle in Bellas Artes. During this time, they studied subjects such as drawing, sculpture, painting, techniques, and history.
From 2003 to 2008, they attended the Universitat de Barcelona and obtained a degree in History of Art. Déborah'sstudies focused on classical, medieval, modern, and contemporary art, as well as aesthetics, cinema, theater, and current art.
In 2005 to 2006, they participated in the Erasmus program and studied Film Studies at the University of Sussex. Here, they specialized in film analysis, film theory, film noir, French film, and various film issues.
Finally, in 2010 to 2011, Déborah pursued further education at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where they obtained a Diploma de Postgrado en Gestión Museística. Déborah'sstudies in this program encompassed administration, exhibitions, conservation, management, and educational services related to the museum field.
