James Carruthers has a diverse work experience in the field of performance analysis in rugby. James started their career in 2012 as a Work Experience Performance Analyst at Bath Rugby, where they gained insights into the role and responsibilities of an analyst. James also worked with Edinburgh Rugby, Cardiff Metropolitan University, and Insight-Analysis, honing their skills in data collection, filming, coding, and analysis.

In 2017, James interned as an Academy Performance Analyst at Bath Rugby, where they provided analysis support to the Rugby program and assisted the 1st team analysts on training and match days. James later joined Cardiff Metropolitan University as an Assistant Performance Analyst, where they facilitated learning and development for Men's and Women's Rugby teams through analysis.

James continued to progress in their career by working as a Lead Performance Analyst at Cardiff Met RFC and a Support Analyst at Insight-Analysis. In these roles, they provided team and individual analysis, focusing on Elite Player Squad members and developing a database of performances for national selection.

Recently, James has worked as a Head Performance Analyst for Rouen Normandie Rugby and Provence Rugby, taking on the responsibility of analyzing team performances. With their experience in both professional and university rugby environments, James has developed a well-rounded skill set in performance analysis.

James Carruthers completed their Bachelor's Degree in Sport Performance Analysis from Cardiff Metropolitan University, where they attended from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended St Augustine's Catholic College from 2007 to 2014, where they completed their High School education with a focus on A Levels.
