Douglas Rennie has had a long and varied career in the laboratory sciences. Douglas started in 1999 as Manager of the Department of Anatomic Pathology at NHS, where they managed 115 million specimens per year and supervised a staff of 40. In 2002, they moved to Massachusetts General Hospital as a Research Laboratory Manager and Senior Research Technologist. In 2012, they joined BioSurplus as Branch Manager and Operations Manager, responsible for the 21,000 square foot facility in Watertown MA. From 2013 to 2015, they were at ProVerde Laboratories, where they held roles as SR. Laboratory Specialist & Sample Manager, Lab Operations Contractor, Quality Manager, and Laboratory Operations Specialist/Consultant. In 2016, they joined AOCS (American Oil Chemists Society) as Technical Services Project Manager, working remotely and telecommuting. In 2018, they became Vice President of Implementation at Ionization Labs and President & CEO at ViaCann LLC. In 2020, they joined ACT Laboratories Inc as Vice President of Operations, working remotely in Milford, MA.
Douglas Rennie earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Ecology, Evolution, Systematics, and Population Biology from California Polythechnic University San Luis Obispo in 1994. In 2006, they completed a Certificate in Molecular Biology and Confocal Microscopy from F.A.E.S. Graduate School - of N.I.H.
