Tammy Akey

Tammy Akey, CHSC, has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tammy is currently the Director of Occupational Health and Safety at Providence Health Care, starting in December 2021. Prior to this role, Tammy worked as the Manager of People Safety at Vancouver Coastal Health from June 2019 to December 2021. Tammy also served as the North America HSE Manager at Alpha Technologies Ltd. from September 2012 to June 2019. Tammy's experience includes working as a Health and Safety Supervisor at Cold Logic Corp from August 2010 to September 2012, and as a Safety Supervisor/HR Generalist at VANDERPOL FOOD Group from March 2008 to August 2010. Before venturing into the field of health and safety, they held roles at Sears Canada, including Assistant Manager from April 2007 to March 2008, and Resources Protection Investigator Supervisor from April 1997 to April 2007.
