Paul Clifton has over 30 years of experience in the environmental profession. Paul currently serves as the Impact Assessment Services Managing Director at Providence, where they are responsible for overseeing the Natural Resource & Coastal Services Group. Prior to their current role, they held the position of Natural Resource & Coastal Services Managing Director. Before joining Providence, they worked as an Environmental Scientist at Conestoga-Rovers & Associates (CRA). Paul began their career as a Coastal Resources Specialist at the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources/Coastal Management Division. Throughout their career, Paul has gained expertise in wetlands and ecological compliance, including wetland delineations, permitting, habitat assessments, and consultation with regulatory agencies.

Paul Clifton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from Louisiana Tech University, where they studied from 1979 to 1982. Paul then pursued a Master of Science degree in Forestry from Louisiana State University, completing their studies from 1984 to 1986.
