Vanessa Jones, PhD is an experienced individual who has held various roles in the field of arts and education. Currently, vanessa is serving as a member of the Design Review Committee at Providence House Public Art Review and Selection Committee. In addition, vanessa is the Founder, Cultural Creative Curator, and Purveyor at Artivist InK, where vanessa specializes in community engagement, branding, publicity, and strategic planning. With a background in Urban Education Policy Studies, Art Education, and Fine Arts, Vanessa has a strong foundation in both the academic and artistic fields. vanessa's extensive experience as a lecturer, art teacher, teaching artist, and consultant has allowed their to make significant contributions to community development and education research.

Providence House
Providence keeps kids safe and families together, embracing them with support to enhance stability that strengthens communities. We offer free, voluntary emergency shelter and services to children from newborn through twelve years old in a loving, trauma-informed, home-like setting while our Social Work Team helps parents and guardians address their challenges through family preservation services, including case management, counseling, parent education, and connections to more than 130 community partners, to enhance stability for the future. We also provide family preservation services in the community through our Community Education and Resiliency Program.
