Aleksandra Pastrak MD, PhD has been working in the medical field since 1999. Aleksandra began their career at Transition Therapeutics, where they held various roles including Vice President Clinical Development and Medical Officer, Vice President Research, Director of Preclinical and Clinical Affairs, and Director of Research and Development. In 2016, they moved to OPKO Health, Inc. where they served as Vice President Clinical Development and Medical Officer. Most recently, in 2022, they became Chief Medical Officer at Providence Therapeutics.
Aleksandra Pastrak MD, PhD began their educational journey in 1984 when they earned their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Belgrade. From 1991 to 1993, they completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Medicine. In 1994, they obtained their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Pharmacology from the University of Toronto. Finally, in 1996, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Pharmacology from the University of Toronto.
