Jamie Brooks has a strong background in healthcare and senior services. They currently work as a Health Center Director at Providence Community Health Centers. Prior to this, they were a Practice Manager at Oak Street Health. They also have experience as a Director of Elder Services at Child & Family and as a Consultant in multiple companies, specializing in dementia care. Jamie has held executive positions at Atria Senior Living and Benchmark Senior Living, overseeing operations and ensuring resident and employee satisfaction. In addition, they have experience in patient care experience management at Rhode Island Hospital and training and development leadership at Amgen. Earlier in their career, Jamie served as the Director of Education and Training at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital and as the Director of Breaking the Cycle at the City of Jacksonville.
Jamie Brooks has a diverse education history. In 1978, they obtained their high school diploma from Our Lady of Fatima HS, focusing on college preparation studies. From 1984 to 1988, Jamie attended Providence College, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government public administration. Later, in 1996, they pursued higher education at the University of Oklahoma, where they obtained a Master of Human Relations degree in 1998.
In addition to their formal education, Jamie Brooks has also obtained certifications in specific fields. In 2014, they became an Assisted Living Residence Administrator certified by the RI DOH. More recently, in June 2017, they achieved certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner from the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.
