John Swadba

John Swadba, CFA CRC has over 35 years of experience in the finance industry. John is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Credit Risk at The Provident Bank since August 2016. In this role, they manage loan portfolio management, credit policy, ALLL calculation, stress testing, and oversees the Credit Review function. John also holds the position of President at Triton Credit Risk Management, LLC since October 2015.

Prior to this, John Swadba has held several notable roles including EVP and Chief Credit Officer at Hudson Valley Bank from June 2013 to June 2015, Consultant at Inveraray Capital Management LLC from July 2011 to June 2013, and Managing Director at Merrill Lynch from 1985 to 2009. At Merrill Lynch, they held various managing director positions including Chief Credit Officer and Director.

John Swadba started their career as a Credit Analyst at National State Bank in 1984. With their extensive experience and expertise, they have made significant contributions to credit risk management and portfolio oversight throughout their career.

John Swadba, CFA CRC, attended Rutgers University from 1978 to 1982 where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics. In 1989, they obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts. In 2016, John Swadba also received the Credit Risk Certified (CRC) certification from The Risk Management Association.
