Amir Rasheed has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Their most recent role was as Senior Director of Provincial Partnerships and Clinical Innovation in the Office of Virtual Health at the Provincial Health Services Authority, where they played a critical leadership role in the strategic direction and operationalization of virtual health initiatives. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Clinical Lead for Capital Projects at BC Mental Health and Addiction Services, responsible for ensuring that facility developments supported clinical care and operations. Amir also served as the Board President of AnxietyBC, a non-profit organization focused on translating evidence-based knowledge and influencing behavior change in the field of anxiety. Furthermore, Amir has held positions at Fraser Health Authority, the Ministry of Social Development, the Rick Hansen Institute, Impact BC, TP Systems, Gemcom Software International, Paul First Nation, and the BC Ministry of Housing and Social Development, where they contributed in various capacities to healthcare, social services, and project management.

Amir Rasheed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto, which they obtained from 1992 to 1996. Amir also obtained a Master's degree in Leadership from Royal Roads University from 2009 to 2010. Prior to their university studies, they obtained their High School Diploma from Ross Sheppard High School in 1988. In 2015, Amir obtained a PROSCI Change Management Certification from Prosci.
