Atze van der Goot

Atze van der Goot is an experienced ecologist currently working as an Ecoloog for Provincie Noord-Holland since April 2023 and as a Stadsecoloog for Studio Stadsecologie since November 2019, focusing on ecological research, advice, and education related to urban wildlife. Previous experience includes conducting a master's thesis at Wageningen University & Research on the social behavior of spotted hyenas in Botswana, and a research internship at Naturalis Biodiversity Center Nederland, where data on litter in coot nests was analyzed. Atze also completed a bachelor thesis at Staatsbosbeheer, exploring the use of drones for vegetation mapping, and served as a homework tutor for TutorYou from 2014 to 2018. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Forest and Nature Conservation from Wageningen University & Research and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Cape Town and the University of Amsterdam.
