David Torgersen serves as Water Reclamation Superintendent and Wastewater System Manager for Provo City since April 2017, overseeing the wastewater system, lift stations, and wastewater treatment plant, while also managing major construction projects including a $100M wastewater treatment facility. Previously, Torgersen held the position of Principal Engineer in the Water Resources division of Provo City's Public Works Department, focusing on design and implementation of water and wastewater projects. Additional experience includes project management roles at Salt Lake City Corporation and engineering positions at Waterworks Engineers and Sunrise Engineering, as well as an internship at the US Army Corps of Engineers. Torgersen holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University.
