Kalvan Hone

Kalvan Hone is an experienced GIS professional currently serving as the GIS Coordinator for Provo City since June 2019, focusing on the Public Works Department. Prior experience includes a tenure as Principal GIS Analyst for the City of Henderson, where Kalvan provided leadership, developed methodologies for spatial accuracy, and integrated GIS with various decision support systems. Additional roles include Geospatial Consultant at MBP Consulting, Director of Marketing for Geospago, Compliance Officer at Community Ambulance, and Part-time Faculty at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Kalvan began a career in GIS as an Analyst for Utah County Government and held a Project Manager position at Atkins, overseeing projects and managing teams of geospatial professionals. Kalvan holds a B.S. in GIS/Cartography from Brigham Young University and an MBA from UNLV Lee Business School.
