Nikhil Tayal

Nikhil T. has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Nikhil is currently serving as the Site Lead - India Engineering & Operations at Provus Inc since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Product Engineering at McAfee from January 2021 to December 2022, where they managed product development, technology strategy, and customer escalations for an enterprise cybersecurity product.

Before their tenure at McAfee, Nikhil T. worked as the Director of Product Engineering at Conga from March 2018 to January 2021. There, they led cross-functional engineering teams and supported the development of business drivers and high-level program implementation plans.

Nikhil also served as the Senior Director of Product Engineering at Kovai.co from September 2017 to March 2018, where they directed multiple cross-functional teams, identified new opportunities for product development, and accelerated cultural transformation towards engineering and DevOps.

Prior to Kovai.co, Nikhil T. worked at Microsoft for several roles from 2006 to 2017. Nikhil served as a Senior Software Engineering Manager, leading the development of an Azure Enterprise Integration Platform and Services. Nikhil also led teams to enable integration across applications within and outside the Microsoft Core Engineering group using Azure App Services. In addition, they served as a Senior SDE and led projects across multiple regions, handling the project inception, architecture, and development.

Before their tenure at Microsoft, Nikhil T. worked as a Senior Associate at Cognizant Technology Solutions from 2004 to 2006, where they contributed to the design and development of integration solutions for a Mainframe to .Net migration project.

Nikhil began their career at Aditi Technologies in 2000 as a Senior SDE, where they worked on various Microsoft products as a developer, including MS Office, BizTalk server, and Anti-Piracy groups.

Overall, Nikhil T. has demonstrated expertise in product engineering, technology strategy, team leadership, and integration solutions across multiple industries and platforms.

Nikhil T. obtained an MCA degree in Computer Science from Jai Narain Vyas University, where they studied from 1996 to 1999. They also earned a B.S. degree in Physics, Maths, and Science from Maharshi Dayanand Sarswati University, attending from 1993 to 1996. For high school, Nikhil T. attended DMPHS from 1988 to 1992 and received a High School degree with a focus on Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Maths.
