Çağatay Tomu

Çağatay Tomu has a diverse work experience in the field of software testing. Çağatay started their career in 2015 as a Software Test Engineer at LG Electronics, where they were responsible for testing Smart TV Software and conducting hands-on tests for TV-related products. In 2017, they joined NETAş as a Technical Support Engineer, focusing on the support of Ribbon Communications VoIP Products and solving Callp cases.

In 2019, Çağatay joined Huawei as a Software Test Engineer and took on responsibilities for testing web-based OSS provisioning tools like WebLMT and MAE/U2020/U2000. Çağatay conducted security, performance, SIT, and regression testing during their time at Huawei.

In 2021, they moved to Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv as a Software Test Engineer, where they developed automated web UI and API tests using Tricentis Tosca. Çağatay also created CI/CD integration with Jenkins and developed E2E API test cases with Postman and Newman.

Çağatay's most recent position is with Proxify, starting in 2023, where they serve as a Software Test Engineer. Further details about their role are not provided.

Çağatay Tomu completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bahcesehir University, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Çağatay then pursued a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Satellite Communications and Remote Sensing at Istanbul Technical University starting in 2019 and is currently still enrolled in the program.

In addition to their formal education, Çağatay has obtained several certifications related to software testing and automation. Çağatay completed the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org in March 2023. In November 2022, they obtained the ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL) certification from the Turkish Testing Board. Çağatay also received certifications in Test Design Specialist Level 1 and Level 2, Automation Specialist for SAP, Automation Specialist Level 1 and Level 2, and Automation Specialist for API from Tricentis between 2021 and 2022.
