Andrea Merlo

Andrea Merlo is a Fusion Researcher at Proxima Fusion and a PhD Student at Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics. As the Co-founder of Poliferie, they have held roles as Head of R&D and Board member. Previously, as a Hardware Engineer at Cobham Gaisler, they designed the NOEL-V processor core. Andrea also has experience as a Consultant Associate & Co-Founder at JEBE Sant'Anna and as a Hardware Engineer Intern at Cobham Gaisler. Their educational background includes degrees in Physics, Information and Industrial Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering from various prestigious universities.
