Kai Lucas-Baradan

IT Director at PRX

Kai Lucas-Baradan is currently the IT Director at PRX. They have been in this role since December of 2010 and prior to that, they were the Manager of Information Technology at Public Radio International (PRI). In this role, they oversaw all aspects of PRI's IT infrastructure, including live radio production, distribution, and automation systems working directly with an international group of partner organizations such as NPR, the BBC, and the CBC utilizing a diverse array of technologies. They also managed PRI.org, which was relaunched on Drupal and saw significant traffic growth. Furthermore, they oversaw Windows/OSX network, Microsoft Dynamics CRM/GP, and Sharepoint systems. Lastly, they provided high-level technical advice and strategy to all aspects of PRI's operations, communicating directly with management and technical vendors.

Prior to their role at PRI, Kai was an IT Technician at the University of Wisconsin in the Executive Education department from May of 2008 to July of 2010. Before that, they interned at Minnetronix, Inc. from October 2005 to April 2007 in their IT department.

Their manager is Andrew Kuklewicz, CTO. They work with Rick Peterman - Senior Developer, Ube Halaya - Software Engineer, and Sam Vevang - Senior Software Engineer.
