Blake Hoppes began their work experience in 2009 as a 25B Information Technology Specialist in the US Army. Blake was responsible for the installation, operation, administration, and maintenance of communication networks and information systems. In 2012, they joined DIY Group as a Jr. Systems Administrator, providing support, maintenance, and assistance in desktop administration, network infrastructure, and application administration. Blake then moved on to Prysm Inc. in 2015 as an IT System Administrator. In this role, they successfully migrated over 400 users from Cisco Unified Call Manager to Skype for Business Online and implemented Microsoft Bitlocker Administration and Monitoring. Blake also managed backups utilizing Veeam and implemented Cloud Connect to Azure. Later in 2015, Blake worked briefly as a Technical Support Specialist at KSM Consulting.

Blake Hoppes attended Ball State University from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology. Blake also attended Ball State University from 2012 to 2016 and earned another Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, this time in Computer Technology. In terms of certifications, Blake obtained the Security+ certification from CompTIA in November 2010 and the Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician certification from Cisco in April 2014.
