Kevin G. Ruano Hernandez

Kevin G. Ruano Hernandez is an Air Quality Monitor Technician and Analyst at PSE Healthy Energy, with a strong commitment to environmental issues, particularly air quality. Serving as a Community Advisory Councilmember for the Bay Area Air Quality Management District since December 2020, Kevin advises on community matters and represents youth perspectives for cleaner air. Other roles include participation on the AB 617 Richmond/San Pablo Community Emission Reduction Plan Steering Committee and involvement with the Monitoring Outreach Team. Prior experience includes working as a Junior Environmental Engineer at Ramboll, where emissions estimation and air pollution dispersion modeling were key tasks, and internships focused on environmental justice and health issues. Kevin is currently pursuing an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Environmental Engineering and Science at Contra Costa College and further studies at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering.
