Jocelyn Stanfield

Vice President at Psi Chi The International Honor Society in Psychology

Jocelyn Stanfield has a diverse range of work experience. Jocelyn began their career in 2017 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Emory University’s Mayberg Biometrics Lab. From there, they took on various roles such as a BUILD Lab Honors Researcher, EPASS Peer Tutor for BIOL 301, and Biology 141/142 Teaching Assistant. In 2018, Jocelyn also worked as a Study Abroad Researcher in the Psychology Program at the University of the United Kingdom. Jocelyn'sexperience extends beyond Emory University, as they were an ADVANCE Undergraduate Institute participant at Stanford University and a STEM Fall Open House Scholar at Penn State University. Jocelyn also served as an Initiative for Maximizing Student Development Scholar at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). In addition to their research positions, Jocelyn has held leadership roles as the Executive Director of Volunteer Emory, Vice President of Psi Chi The International Honor Society in Psychology, and a member of SACNAS. Jocelyn has also worked as a Teacher at Kids R Kids. Currently, Jocelyn is an Undergraduate Honors Fellow at The James Weldon Johnson Institute. Throughout their career, Jocelyn has been dedicated to research and academic development, participating in activities such as grant writing practice and career-building seminars.

Jocelyn Stanfield completed their high school education at Hampton High School from 2012 to 2016. Following that, they attended Emory University from 2016 to 2020, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. In terms of additional certifications, Jocelyn obtained multiple certifications, including SPSS Statistics Essential Training and SPSS for Academic Research from LinkedIn in October 2019. In January 2019, they completed CITI- Social Behavioral Focus training provided by CITI Program, A Division of BRANY. Moreover, they received CITI Training in August 2018 on research involving children, pregnant women, fetuses, neonates, and biomedical focus.
