Heike Lentfer

Heike Lentfer is an experienced professional with a diverse background in the biopharmaceutical industry. Heike is currently working as the Head of MS&T at Akamis Bio since 2021. Previously, from 2018 to 2021, they served as an MS&T Advisor at Polpharma Biologics, where they established a new function and supported biosimilar projects.

Prior to that, Heike Lentfer was the Head of Biotherapeutics Development Unit at Cancer Research UK from 2009 to 2018. In this role, they were responsible for process development and GMP manufacture of novel investigational medicinal products. Heike led a team of 20 staff in a state-of-the-art biomanufacturing facility.

Before joining Cancer Research UK, Heike Lentfer worked at Cobra Biomanufacturing as the Head of Technology Transfer from 2007 to 2009. Heike also served as the Section Head of Mammalian Cell Culture at Cobra Biologics from 2003 to 2007. Their early career includes roles as a Project Manager at Metris Therapeutics Ltd. from 1999 to 2002, and as a Scientist at Alpha Bioverfahrenstechnik from 1995 to 1999.

Heike Lentfer completed their education at Technische Universität Berlin from 1989 to 1995, where they obtained a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Biotechnology. No further education history is provided beyond this point.
