Justin Swanson Cissp

Justin Swanson, CISSP, CISM, has extensive work experience in information security and IT management. Justin currently serves as the Sr Director of Information Security GRC at ConnectiveRx, where they develop strategic initiatives and programs to safeguard the company and improve its scalability and maturity. Justin partners with various departments for risk assessments and advises on security controls and cloud security strategy.

In addition to their role at ConnectiveRx, Justin is also an Adjunct Professor at Duquesne University, where they share their expertise in information security.

Prior to their current positions, Justin worked at Advanticom as the Sr. Director of Strategic Services & Security, overseeing IT and security services, cloud solutions, infrastructure implementation, and 24/7 service desk support. Justin also served as the IT Manager at Levin Furniture, managing IT operations and establishing a governance framework and infrastructure modernization strategy. Before that, they worked as an IT/Applications Consultant at aSa - Applied Systems Associates, Inc., where they provided IT support and successfully executed multiple implementations.

Justin Swanson CISSP, CISM has a Master of Science degree in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh, obtained between 2010 and 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management from Clarion University School of Education, completed between 2001 and 2005. Justin has also obtained various certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2020 and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2018. Justin has also acquired several ITIL certifications from AXELOS Global Best Practice, including ITIL Foundation in 2015, and additional certifications in Organizational Change Management Foundation from APMG International.
