Manuela Villa Acosta is an experienced cultural manager and politician currently serving as Directora General de asuntos culturales at the Presidencia del Gobierno de España since February 2024, and as Secretaria de Cultura y Deporte in the Comisión Ejecutiva del PSOE since October 2021. Previously, Manuela served as a Diputada socialista at the Asamblea de Madrid from June 2021 to February 2024, focusing on advocating for cultural significance in society. Manuela's extensive background includes roles as an Asesora in the Gabinete del Ministro de Cultura y Deporte, co-director of the Máster de gestión cultural internacional e innovación social at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and Head of Art Programmes at Matadero Madrid, where Manuela developed various artistic projects. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Sociology from The London School of Economics, an MRes in Curatorial/Knowledge from Goldsmiths, University of London, and additional journalism and curatorial studies.
