Alberto Ambesi-Impiombato

Alberto Ambesi-Impiombato is a Director of Computational Biology at PsychoGenics since May 2017, bringing extensive experience in bioinformatics and data analysis. Prior to this role, Alberto served as an Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University from February 2007 to April 2017, focusing on high throughput genomic and transcriptional data integration. Alberto also has a background as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist, where the development of integrative data analysis methods for studying regulatory networks in human malignancies was emphasized. Earlier experience includes a Graduate Student Researcher position at TIGEM in Italy, where algorithm development for biological sequence analysis was undertaken. Alberto holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Naples Federico II, along with advanced degrees in Bioinformatics, Psychiatry, and Medicine from the same institution and the University of Sannio.
