Aerjen Tamminga

Aerjen Tamminga is an experienced psychologist and educator with a diverse professional background in psychology, research, and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as the Chair of the Board for the Couple & Family Therapy section at VGCt and Chief Quality Officer at Psychologen Nederland (Psyned), Tamminga has established a private practice specializing in work-related issues and couples counseling. Additional roles include ownership of Aerjen Games, where Tamminga develops games, and previous positions as a research affiliate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and research fellow at Harvard University, focusing on the intersection of games, technology, and psychotherapy. Tamminga's early career involved management roles in rehabilitation settings, emphasizing outpatient care for chronic conditions, alongside foundational experience in child protection services.
