Gert-Jan Kroese

Gert-Jan Kroese is an experienced professional in data protection and privacy, currently serving as the Head of Privacy at Liance Legal since March 2024. Since October 2023, Gert-Jan has also held positions as Data Protection & Compliance Officer at Katanox and Data Protection Officer at Scouting Nederland. Prior roles include registered Data Protection Officer at Stichting LEEFH and Corporate Travel Clinic, and longstanding experience as Data Protection Officer at Psyned. Gert-Jan is a founding partner at Privacy Valley, providing data privacy support and legal tools for risk assessment. Additionally, Gert-Jan owns Kroese Legal Risk Management, focusing on corporate law and compliance for SMEs. Earlier experience includes interim legal support for War Child Holland and involvement with Effacts Legal Management Software. Gert-Jan holds a Master's degree in Law from Leiden University, obtained in 1995.
