Danang Widyastoto has a strong background in internal audit, with experience in various roles and responsibilities. Danang is currently serving as the Head of Business & Support Audit - SVP at Commonwealth Bank Indonesia since February 2019. Prior to that, they worked as the VP of Internal Audit at Standard Chartered Bank from January 2014 to January 2019. In this role, they led audits of all business units in Indonesia and supported overseas assignments in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Danang Widyastoto graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Indonesia, where they studied from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, they attended SMAT Krida Nusantara and completed their Senior High School education from 2001 to 2004, focusing on the Science field. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including becoming a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist from ACAMS in August 2016, a Certified Risk Management Assurance from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in March 2013, and a Certified Internal Auditor from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in March 2012. Danang is also a Qualified Internal Auditor certified by the Qualified Internal Auditor Certification Board, although the specific date of obtaining this certification is unknown.
