Jerry U. is an accomplished operations leader with extensive experience in managing large teams and driving business and process improvements in the mining industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Operations Excellence at Freeport Indonesia since August 2018, Jerry leads a team of 26 professionals focused on enhancing operations for a workforce exceeding 27,000 employees, alongside managing capital projects support services for over 2,000 personnel. Previous roles include Industrial and Operational Technology Superintendent at Rio Tinto, where Jerry oversaw the integration of a significant greenfield project, and IT/OT Service Delivery Manager at Roy Hill, where Jerry improved service delivery processes. Jerry's career also includes management positions at BHP Billiton, focusing on IT and radio communications for major exploration projects, and earlier roles at Rio Tinto involving technical supervision. Jerry holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from AMA University.
