Gan Gan Dirgantara

Gan Gan Dirgantara is an experienced professional in environmental and social safeguards with a robust background in climate change advisory and sustainable finance. Currently serving as the Head of Environmental and Social Safeguard at PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) since October 2021, Gan Gan previously held the position of Senior Advisor for Climate Change at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH from September 2017 to September 2021. Earlier roles include Executive Vice President for Sustainable Finance & Renewable Energy at PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) and Senior Advisor/Team Leader at GIZ, where contributions were made to climate change national policy and mitigation actions. Gan Gan's academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Geography from Université Paul Valéry - Montpellier III, a Master's in Environmental Science and Technology from IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, and a Magister Teknik in Development Study from Institut Teknologi Bandung. Previous positions also feature leadership in water resource management and environmental planning at various governmental agencies in Indonesia.
