Patrice Thornton

Patrice Thornton has extensive work experience in human resources, spanning various roles in different companies. Patrice is currently Vice President Human Resources at PTC Therapeutics, Inc. since 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Director Human Resources, EMEA APAC at PTC Therapeutics, Inc. from 2020 to 2023. Patrice also held positions such as Senior Director, HR Business Partner and Director, HR Business Partner at the same company. Before joining PTC Therapeutics, Inc., Patrice worked as the Head of HR Irl at Aspen Pharma from 2013 to 2017. Patrice also served as the HR Manager at Omega Pharma from 2007 to 2013. Additionally, they have experience as a Director at Patrice Thornton Consulting Ltd from 2008 to 2011, an HR Manager at a Property Company in 2006, an HR Manager at Charles River Laboratories from 2004 to 2006, and a Senior HR Officer at Benchmark Electronics from 1998 to 2004.

Patrice Thornton received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance Economics History from Maynooth University, where they studied from 1993 to 1996. Patrice also participated in the Peer Learning & Mentoring Programme offered by the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland in 2020. In the same year, they became a certified Hermann Practitioner through Hermann and a Certified Clifton Strengths Coach through Gallup in 2021. Additionally, they obtained a certification in the Leaders of Impact - Women in Global Organizations Peer Mentoring Programme in 2021, which was granted by the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland.
