Pilar Pichardo Egea M.D.

Pilar Pichardo Egea MD has a diverse and extensive work experience in the medical field. Pilar has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.

Pilar'smost recent position was as a Medical Director at PTC Therapeutics, Inc. starting in August 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Medical Regulatory and Quality Director at Ferrer from January 2021 to August 2021.

From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a self-employed freelance pharma consultant, specializing in medical/regulatory affairs, quality, and speaking engagements.

Before that, they served as the Medical, Regulatory, Quality and Compliance Director for Mexico, CAC, and Andean Region at Lundbeck from August 2018 to April 2020, and as a Medical Director at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from April 2017 to January 2018.

Pilar also had a long tenure at Stendhal Pharma, where they worked as a Regional Medical Director and later as a Medical Director from November 2014 to January 2017.

Prior to that, they held a senior medical role at Boehringer Ingelheim from December 2011 to August 2014, where they led the Respiratory area, Neurology, CHC, and Development Pipeline teams.

Pilar started their career as a Senior Pharmaceutical Physician at Prismideas from May 2010 to December 2011, where they worked on various oncology projects for Hoffmann-LaRoche.

Pilar also briefly served as a Medical Manager Oncology at GSK in 2011.

Pilar Pichardo Egea MD completed their Bachelor's degree in General Medicine from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México from 1985 to 1990. Pilar pursued further education in the field of Oncology-Hematology at the same university from 1991 to 1995. In 2016 and 2017, they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree specializing in Human/Medical Genetics from Universidad Europea de Valencia. In 2014 and 2015, they studied Regulatory Sanitation and Pharmacovigilance at Universidad Intercontinental. In 2019 and 2020, they undertook an Internal Auditor program at Bureau Veritas.
