Jurgen Schmeltz

Jurgen Schmeltz is an experienced professional in information and communication technology with a diverse background in datacenter operations, project management, and academic lecturing. Currently serving as a Part-time Lecturer at the University of Applied Science and Technology Suriname and PTC- University of Applied Sciences, Jurgen teaches courses in cloud computing and cyber security. As the Datacenter Operations Manager at Datasur since November 2015, responsibilities include managing datacenter operations, cloud platforms, network security, and leading technical projects for infrastructure expansion. Previous roles include ICT Project Manager, ICT Infrastructure Engineer, and System Administrator, demonstrating a strong foundation in technical management and support across various platforms and environments. Additionally, Jurgen has held leadership roles such as Chairman of SUR-IX Suriname Internet Exchange, and possesses a Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology from Janssen University of Applied Sciences.
