Mats Verschuren

Mats Verschuren currently serves as a Senior Consultant at PTV Group since July 2024. Previously, as a Transport Simulation Engineer at Hardt Hyperloop from April 2022 to July 2024, Mats developed transport models and studied potential hyperloop routes to advance innovation in transportation. Mats spent nearly seven years at NS, initially as a Developer and Product Owner for Transport Modelling, where a significant achievement was the development of the TRENO model for forecasting passenger needs and timetable impacts. Mats' academic background includes a Master's degree in Transport, Infrastructure, and Logistics from Delft University of Technology, complemented by an Erasmus Exchange Program in Urban Planning at Politecnico di Milano, and a Bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Amsterdam. Early career experiences include roles as a Train Steward and train-related positions at Railpromo B.V. and Euro-Express-Treincharter B.V., as well as a Crew Trainer at McDonald's Corporation.
