Dan Ratner has held a variety of roles in the technology industry. Dan began their career in 2005 as the CTO and COO of Sittercity, a matchmaking site for parents, babysitters, and nannies. In 2006, they became the Director of Open Books, a role they held until 2010 when they became the Director of Fulcrum Point New Music Project. In 2011, they were the Director of Technology for Obama for America. In 2009, they were an Advisor for the Knapp Entrepreneurship Center at the Illinois Institute of Technology. In 2013, they were the Cofounder and CEO of Public Good Software, Inc. In 2015, they became the Director of Impact Engine. In 2018, they became the Director of Cure Violence. Finally, in 2022, they became the Chief Technology Officer of Entertainmint, Inc.

Dan Ratner attended Lake Forest Academy from 1991 to 1993 and then went on to Brown University from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Economics. Prior to Lake Forest Academy, they attended New Trier.
