Matthew Green has over 20 years of professional experience in the fields of product, interactive arts and media, user research methods, and communications. From 1996 to 1998, they worked as a Public Information Officer and Location Scout for the Missouri Film Office. In 1997, they began freelancing as a Location Scout and Assistant. From 1998 to 2001, they worked as a Recruiter for Sun Consultants, specializing in full-time placement of mid- to executive-level creative professionals. In 2001, Matthew began working for Columbia College Chicago, where they held the roles of Associate Director of the Portfolio Center, Employer Relations Coordinator, and Career Advisor. In 2007, they were appointed the first Director of Student Communications for Columbia College Chicago, where they developed and managed a custom student community and managed an editorial team of full-time staff and student content producers. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as the Head of Product for Chicago Public Media. In 2018, they began working as an Adjunct Professor of User Research Methods at Northwestern University. Currently, Matthew is the Chief Product Officer at Public Good Software, Inc., where they are the Head of Product for the world's first platform focused on making the news actionable.
Matthew Green attended DePaul University from 2004 to 2006, where they earned their MA in New Media. Matthew then attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1991 to 1996, where they earned their BA in Communications and Political Science.
