Chris Allison has a diverse work experience in various government agencies in Canada. Chris currently serves as the Chief Data Officer and Director General of Data Management, Analysis, and Innovation at the Public Health Agency of Canada. Prior to that, they worked as the Director General of Digital Services at the Canada School of Public Service from 2018 to 2021. Chris also held positions at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, Canada Border Services Agency, Public Safety Canada, and Royal Canadian Mounted Police, where they gained expertise in areas such as digital collaboration, national security policy, and program support.

Chris Allison completed their Bachelor's degree in Sociology & Psychology from Lakehead University from 1992 to 1996. Chris also pursued Continuing Studies in East Asian Studies at McMaster University from 1997 to 1998.
