Olivia Varsaneux is an accomplished public health professional with extensive experience in epidemiology and infectious disease surveillance. Currently, Olivia serves as the Manager of the Canadian Nosocomial Infection Surveillance Program at the Public Health Agency of Canada, a position held since October 2022. Previous roles include Senior Epidemiologist at Correctional Service of Canada and Epidemiologist positions at both the World Health Organization and the Public Health Agency of Canada. Olivia has demonstrated expertise in managing health programs, conducting epidemiological analysis, and improving surveillance systems. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University and a Master's degree in Control of Infectious Diseases from The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
