Stephen Bent has a diverse work experience in various government agencies and departments. Stephen began in 2005 as a Principal Analyst at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, specializing in defense. Stephen then moved to Finance Canada, where they served as the Chief of Defense and Crown Corporations from 2008 to 2010. Stephen then joined the Public Health Agency of Canada and held several positions, including Associate Director General, Executive Director, and Director General in different strategic policy and planning roles. In 2020, they became the Director General of Canada's COVID-19 Vaccine Task Force at the Government of Canada before returning to the Public Health Agency of Canada as Vice President of the Strategic Policy Branch. Stephen has also had significant involvement in the coordination and management of COVID-19 vaccine rollout efforts.
Stephen Bent attended Carleton University from 1991 to 1997, where they obtained a Masters degree in Public Administration.
