Carladenise Edwards serves as Henry Ford Health System’s senior vice president and chief strategy officer. She previously served as the executive vice-president and chief strategy officer for Providence St. Joseph Health. She is an expert in health policy, public and private health services, managed care programs, and health information technology.
Prior to joining PSJH, Dr. Edwards served as the chief strategy officer for Alameda Health System in California, as well as the president and chief executive officer of Cal eConnect, a non-profit public benefit corporation created to serve as the state governance entity for electronic Health Information Exchange in California. She owns a successful consulting practice that provides strategy and business development services to health care provider groups, health plans, technology companies, community-based organizations, and state and federal government agencies. She holds a Master of Science degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania and a Doctorate in philosophy from the University of Florida.
