Carol Moehrle

Chair at Public Health Foundation

For the past 25 years, Carol has served as the District Director for Public Health – Idaho North Central District. This Public Health District covers 5 counties in North Central Idaho. She is active locally as well as nationally in Public Health.

She has been active in the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) since 1992, and she served as the President of NACCHO 2010-2011.

Carol also serves as Past Chair of the Public Health Accreditation Board as well as on the Board of the National Association of Counties (NACo) where she is chair of NACo’s Public Health and Healthy Communities Subcommittee. Carol is also serving on the Public Health Foundation Board.

She is passionate about Public Health and shares her passion with numerous public, private and nonprofit organizations.

For the past 20 years, Carol Moehrle has served as the District Director for a five-county Public Health District in North Central Idaho. This district covers 13,500 square miles and a population of approximately 110,000.

Ms. Moehrle is the current Chair of the PHAB Board of Directors, and has been active with the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) since 1992, where she is currently the Past President of NACCHO’s Board of Directors.

Ms. Moehrle also serves on the Board of the National Association of Counties (NACo) where she is Chair of NACo’s Public Health and Environment Subcommittee, and represents county public health on several NACo committees. She has served on numerous public, private, and nonprofit boards, as well as local, state and national professional organizations and advisory boards.
