Lauren Parks

Lauren Parks has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Lauren is currently serving as the Deputy Director of International Operations at Public Health Institute since November 2021. Before that, they worked as a Specialist III at GH-TAMS (Global Health Technical Assistance & Mission Support Project) from January 2020 to November 2021.

Parks has also held the position of Specialist III/Senior Program Manager at Dexis Consulting Group, where they managed a diverse portfolio of task orders supporting the USAID Bureau for Global Health and PMI. Lauren worked with GH TAMS from January 2020 to November 2021 and with GH Pro from October 2014 to December 2019.

Prior to that, Parks served as a Program Manager II at Development and Training Services from December 2012 to October 2014. Lauren gained further experience as a Provincial Reporting Officer for USAID-Tarabot and as a Project Manager at Management Systems International from August 2011 to August 2012 and July 2008 to August 2011, respectively.

Additionally, Parks has worked as an Assistant House Manager at Shakespeare Theatre Company from March 2007 to August 2011, as an Operations Manager at AvcomEast from December 2005 to July 2008, and as a Program Associate at IREX from January 2003 to June 2005. Lauren began their career as a Multicultural Assistant at Grand Valley State University from August 2000 to May 2001.

Lauren Parks holds a Master's degree in Comparative Politics of Russia/Eurasia, obtained from American University from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in History/Russian Studies at Grand Valley State University from 1997 to 2002. Additionally, they have obtained certification as an ASIS Member from ASIS International in December 2022.
