Tomás A. Magaña, MD, MA, FAAP, is a distinguished medical professional and educator with extensive experience in health care and youth development. As the Founding Director of FACES for the Future Coalition since 1999, Tomás has led innovative programs aimed at supporting disadvantaged high school students in pursuing health careers through academic support and youth leadership development. In addition to this role, Tomás serves as the Lead Physician at La Clinica de La Raza and holds various academic positions at the University of California, San Francisco, Samuel Merritt University, and San Francisco State University. Tomás also provides consulting expertise in medical education and leadership training, including contributions to the California Health Care Foundation's leadership program. Tomás holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Master of Arts in Endocrinology from the University of California, Berkeley, among other educational qualifications.
